One of the most senior journalists of Pakistani media industry Azhar Abbas has finally rejoins Geo News. He has rejoined the channel with her former position, Managing Director (MD) of Geo News, before joining Bol News. Geo News is re-hiring its former team nowadays and recently famous host of Pakistani media industry Sana Bucha has also rejoined Geo News as Executive Director Special Projects. With the rehiring of Azhar Abbas, Geo News has also promoted several members of the management including Zahid Hussain and Bureau Chief Lahore, Rana Jawwad. Rana Jawwad will now work as a Director News of the channel.
Azhar Abbas had resigned from Bol News in the month of May, after Axact fake degree scandal, along with his fellow journalists including Kamran Khan, Asma Shirazi, Wajahat Saeed Khan and Iftikhar Ahmed. He was the first journalist who joined Bol News in 2014 as President of Bol News, after resigning from Geo News. According to the sources of Pakistani media industry, Azhar Abbas had been negotiating with several news channels after resigning from Bol News including Dunya News and ARY News but has finally decided to return back in Geo News.
It is to be stated that Azhar Abbas was a member of launching team of Geo News and media experts are claiming that he will definitely bring some positive changes in the channel.
