After long time stay away from Pakistani media industry, popular host of media Sana Bucha has rejoin Geo News. Sana Bucha has recently joins biggest media group of Pakistan, Geo News as Executive Director Special Projects. The sources of Geo News told Pakistan Media Updates that she would soon start her new program on Geo News and initial preparations for that program have been already completed. Sana Bucha was absent from the screen from almost two and a half years, before General Elections 2013.
After completing her education in Political Science from King’s College London, Sana Bucha had started her journalism career as Associate Producer from Geo News and then became Producer of Geo News English Bulletin. During this period, she had proved herself as the most intelligent and dedicated journalists and that is the reason she had given an opportunity to host first English language show of Geo News, News Day. Then she hosted and directed the current affairs program Crisis Cell and later on moved to host the program Lekin, on Geo News.
During this period, Sana Bucha had covered many local and international news stories and discussed different political and social issues in her both programs. She had been also faced criticism for allegedly being impartial from different political and religious parties of the country including Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf, when they claimed that she was in the favour of PML (N). Sana Bucha had exposed the media cell of PTI at that time and showed indecent language used by the supporters against her.
In the early 2012, Sana Bucha resigned from Geo News after hiring of Aamir Liaquat Hussain as Vice President of the channel, but later on she rejoined the channel. But later on, she once again left Geo News after her conflict with the management of the channel on some issues and joined Dunya News. She has hosted the program “Yaqeen”, on Dunya News but before 2013 General Elections, she left the channel and tweeted, “This elections in Pak, every1 – channel and anchor – is up for sale. I refuse to put a price tag on myself. Left Dunya of my own free will”.

Sana Bucha had been working on the production side from the last two years and had successfully completed several documentaries and projects. She had also acted in an upcoming Pakistani film “Yalghaar”, as a Reporter.
It is to be noted that the husband of Sana Bucha, Khurram Qadeer Baig is already working in Geo News as Director Corporate Affairs.
