23 News & Entertainment Network is a new Pakistani channel which will soon start its transmission in the country. To increase its network the channel has hired Hassan Sardar as a managing director.

Hassan Sardar will be stationed at the headquarters of the channel which is located in Karachi. According to reports he will be responsible for driving new initiative for the channel and creating viewership for the new channel.

The channel hopes that the vast experience and exposure of Hassan Sardar which includes both public and private sector will be helpful for him as managing director for the channel.

He is a renowned personality in Pakistan with multiple experiences during his lifetime, before joining 23 News he served as a commissioner and collector at FBR and customs with more than 30 years of experience.

Hassan Sardar was born in Karachi on October 22, 1957 and started his professional career as a hockey player. Later he became the team captain and reached his popularity after winning Gold Medal in 1984 Summer Olympics which was held in USA in 1984.

Not only he played in the national hockey team but also managed the hockey team and then served as Chief Selector of Pakistan’s National Hockey team.

Due to his performance and service he received Pride of Performance Award in 1984 and later Sitara-i-Imtiaz in 2014, both were awarded by President of Pakistan.
