Pakistan Television Corporation has dramatically withdraws itself from the job advertisement. The state owned Media Corporation of Pakistan had given an advertisement in the leading newspapers last week for the fresh vacancies and required applications from the suitable and experienced candidates. But suddenly withdraws itself from the job advertisement by only mentioning it on its web. The sources claimed that PTV has received around 30,000 applications after the advertisement but the total vacancies available in the corporation are 300. The candidates who have applied for the different departments after reading the advertisement are very disappointed by the current initiative.
The advertisement was given on 20th February in all the leading English and Urdu newspapers of Pakistan and last date for sending the applications was 1st March. All the vacant positions which were announced in the various departments were on contract basis but it was expected that the suitable candidates will be offered attractive packages.

The sources claimed that there is a possibility of new recruitment by PTV without any further advertisement, behind the scene. The Managing Director of PTV Muhammad Malick previously said in a meeting of Senate Standing Committee on Information and broadcasting that he is unable to find professionals by advertising the jobs in fact he is willing to find them from market.
