Photojournalist MujeebOne of the most senior photojournalists of Pakistan and former employee of Dawn News, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman died on Wednesday. According to media reports, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman passed away at the age of 69 and he has left behind his wife, four sons, three daughters and several grandchildren. He was the President of Pakistan Association of Photojournalists and among the few photojournalists of Pakistan who have spent around 50 years in the industry. Funeral ceremony of Mujeeb-ur-Rehman was held at Bilal Masjid, Gulshan e Iqbal and buried in Shuhada Qabristan, FB Area Karachi.

Different political and social activists attended the funeral of Mujeeb-ur-Rehman and offered condolence with his family. In his message to the family of photojournalist Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat ul Ibad expressed his grief and sorrow on his death and prayed that may Allah grant patience to his family. Pakistan Federation of Journalists, Karachi Union of Journalists and other press associations have also expressed their grief on his death, and prayed that may Allah rest his soul in peace.

Senior Photojournalist Mujeeb-ur-Rehman had joined Dawn Newspaper in 1967 and worked brilliantly in the organization till 2007. After taking retirement from Dawn News, he joined a wire photo agency, White Star and remained associated with it till 2014. He had suffered a paralysis attack in 2014, after which he leaved the profession.
