Karachi: Popular business magnate and property tycoon of Pakistan Malik Riaz has announced to give 10 million rupees to Karachi Press Club. The grant announced by Malik Riaz will be spent for the welfare of journalists and their families. He announced this amount at the ceremony of distribution of cheques among the victims of Timber Market incident held at Governor House Karachi. The cheques were distributed on behalf of Bahria Town to the affectees of the tragedy of Timber Market.
While addressing the ceremony, the owner of Bahria Town Malik Riaz suggested that the amount given to the Karachi Press Club should be utilized in the welfare of the journalists. He said that the journalists who were affected in the bomb blasts and other terror attacks should be compensated from this amount.
Malik Riaz had also compensated the victims of several incidents took place in Pakistan and this is not the first time that he do so. Bahria Town is working on its mass projects in Karachi nowadays and many developments have been made in this context. Recently, Malik Riaz had also announced that he is willing to built Karachi like Singapore.
