Prominent analyst, columnist and Secretary of Punjab Achieves, Orya Maqbool Jan’s mother passed away on Sunday. Her Namaz-e-Janaza was offered in the Mosque situated in Defence, Lahore on Sunday and buried in Bhutta Chowk Graveyard after funeral. Well known social and political figures have expressed grief and sorrow on her death and prayed that may Allah bless her soul rest in peace. They have also prayed that may Allah give strength to family members to bear this irreparable loss.
Senior politician Javed Hashmi, Former Chief Minister Punjab Afzal Hayat, Senior most Journalist and Chief Editor of Roznama Pakistan, Mujeeb Ur Rehman Shami, Mohsin Naqvi, Sajjad Mir, Naveed Chaudhry, Gen. (R) Rahat Lateef, Brig. (R) Farooq Hameed, Additional Chief Secretary Punjab Syed Mubashir Raza, Secretary Local Government Khalid Masood Chaudhry, Chairman Punjab Higher Education Dr. Nizamuddin, Health Advisor Punjab Khuwaja Salman Rafique and many other prominent social and political figures of the country have attended the funeral of Orya Maqbool Jan’s mother.
CM Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Shareef had also expressed grief and sorrow on the death of Orya Maqbool Jan’s mother and offered condolence with the family. While GPI had also arranged condolence meeting on her death and members have offered Fatiha Khuwani for her.
