Aneela IjazAneela Ijaz, the famous Veteran TV actress dies at the age of 42 in Karachi hospital. She was suffering from prolonged illness and was fighting with cancer, she was in coma from last 15 days. Her body was flown from Karachi to Peshawar and was buried there. Famous personalities attended her funeral. Her death is considered a big loss for Pakistani TV Industry. She started her acting career from PTV and was ranked among top, well-educated and groomed actresses.

She acquired stardom from PTV Peshawar plays which include Pakdandi, Bisaat, Wapsi, Baarish and most notable is ‘Faaselu ke Darmian’ that was her last PTV Urdu Drama. Her super hit dramas include Kinara, Jaal and Chalte. She performed leading roles in more than 300 Urdu, Pushto and Hindko Serials.

PTV Peshawar center started to work in mid-1970s. They introduced many artists including Ajab Gull, Azeem Sajjad, Aneela Ijaz and many others. She was among very few local artists of PTV Peshawar center in 1990’s. She left acting after 1990’s and joined PIA as an airhostess. She married twice but remain childless. Her husband Ijaz Meer and sister Bushra Ijaz are well known actors.
