Lahore: The duo Pakistani pop singers Zeb and Haniya have added another pride to their singing career. Their vocals supported by musical track of the legendary Indian musician A.R. Rehman would form tracks of the upcoming Bollywood movie, ‘Highway’. Zeb has sung the song in Haryanvi language for the movie with background music played by her partner, Haniya. The singer enjoys distinction of being the first Pakistani to sign up a project with the legendary Indian musician A.R. Rehman.
The upcoming Bollywood movie Highway is scheduled for release on February 2014 worldwide. The movie is a production by Sajid Nadiadwala and directorial work of Imtiaz Ali. Alia Bhatt plays the lead role in the movie with her co-star Randeep Hooda. It is a drama-romance based movie.
At a press conference held at Zeb’s residence, the singer said working with A.R. Rehman is a dream come true. The two Pakistani figures met Imtiaz Ali the director on their visit to India. It was during their meeting that the vocalist and the musician were offered for the playback track. They met the music icon A.R.Rehman at one of the studios.
Zeb and Haniya stepped to the Bollywood industry with the movie’ Madras Café’. Their vocals would be featured in the upcoming Bollywood movies, ‘Ghoom Kay Tu’ and ‘Running Shaadi.com’.
