Syed Ansar Ali Naqvi is one of the most senior and professional journalists of Pakistani media industry who is widely known for his exclusive investigative stories. Throughout his 25 years of shining journalism career, Ansar Ali Naqvi has proved himself as the most intelligent and dedicated journalist.
He is among few journalists of Pakistan who have made their name in the industry just because of their hard work and unmatchable skills. He had completed his studies in Journalism from Sindh University of Jamshoro in 1994.
Syed Ansar Ali Naqvi has started his journalism career in 1988 from Daily Safeer Newspaper, Hyderabad as a correspondent in extremely hostile political and sectarian environment. After proving his skills for 3 years, he joined The News International as a reporter in 1991 and later on promoted to several key positions including Senior Reporter and Bureau Chief, Sindh. In 2002, Ansar Ali Naqvi left print media and joined electronic media industry as Outstation Reporter in Geo News.
Due to his tremendous performance, Syed Ansar Ali Naqvi had been promoted to several key positions of the channel including Senior Assignment Editor, Senior Producer, Executive Producer, Input Head and Controller News. He had also covered two US Elections of 2006 and 2008 in New York and Washington, and two local bodies’ elections of Pakistan, from Geo News.
After his association from the channel for about 24 years, Ansar Ali Naqvi left Geo News in February 2015 and joined another giant media group of Pakistan, Bol News. But due to Axact fake degree scandal, the reputation of Bol News was badly affected and Ansar Ali Naqvi left Bol News along with his other media friends. He had played his part to make newsroom team for Bol News and conducted process for recruitment of journalists. Later he joined city 42 TV Channel as Executive Director News.
Throughout his shining 25 years of journalism career, he had covered many exclusive investigative stories and recognized as the most sincere and hardworking journalists in the media industry. He had got many local and international scholarships opportunities during his journalism career and availed many of them. Due to his achievements, The Herald magazine publishes the interview of Ansar Ali Naqvi, in 2011 and awarded him the title of “Investigative Reporter of the Decade”.
Recently, Syed Ansar Ali Naqvi has joined City 42 TV Channel as Executive Director News and Group News Head for City News Network.
