Sharjeel MemonIslamabad: Information of Sindh province, Sharjeel Inam Memon has send a legal notice to the Dawn News Television in which he has asked the management to apologies unconditionally. According to the sources, a legal notice on behalf of Sharjeel Inam Memon has been issued to the management of Dawn News Television for airing fake news of raid by law enforcement agencies on his house, situated in Defence, Karachi.

Sharjeel Inam Memon has demanded the unconditional apology from the management of the channel within the period of 14 days. However, it is also mentioned in the notice that the channel would have to face a legal suit of Rs.2 billion. In the notice, the lawyer of Information Minister has mentioned that his client is a law abiding, honorable and educated citizen.

It is also written by the lawyer of Sharjeel Inam Memon in the notice, that his client is an elected member of Sindh Assembly and he is not involved in any kind of illegal activities. The notice also stated that the channel had telecasted fabricated and baseless story of law enforcement agencies raid on his house and had recovered Rs.2 billion from his home, on 29th May.

It is to be noted that Dawn News had reported on 29th of May that Rs.2 billion had been recovered by the law enforcement agencies in the raid on Sharjeel Memon’s house but Information Minister had dismissed the report by declaring it a baseless story.
