Karachi: Senior actor Maqsood Hassan is no more between us as he died on Wednesday due to heart attack in Karachi at the age of 67. Late Maqsood Hassan left behind a widow as he had no children. The funeral prayers were held today after Namaz-e-Zohar at Ghazali Masjid near Hassan Square. He lived in Civic View apartment near Hassan Square, Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
Veteran actor was started his career with a children’s program on Radio Pakistan as he had spent his almost 50 years in the Pakistan entertainment industry in which he remained a part of radio, theatre plays, TV serials and films. He was known as a great actor whose acting will always be remembered as he had tremendous acting skills which will remain always appreciable. He has also worked in film ‘Jaag utha insaan’ which was a great achievement of him as he got much appreciation for his work in this film.
Maqsood Hassan had also worked with late actor Muhammad Ali and Moin Akhtar in several plays as some of these plays were produced by Khuwaja Moinuddin. Hassan’s name will always be recalled through drama serial ‘Quddusi sahab ki bewa’ at ARY digital and film ‘Fankar Gali’ in which he acted fantastically.
