An entrepreneur and CEO of software company Super Technologies Inc. Rehan Allahwala has putted a billboard to thank CEO of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg. The initiative has taken by Rehan Allahwala after the announcement of free Facebook facility by Mark Zuckerberg for all the Pakistani’s through Telenor, leading mobile phone services provider in Pakistan. Rehan Allahwala has showed his recognition for the initiative taken by social media giant Mark Zuckerberg and proved that the Pakistani nation always remember their benefactors by all means.
Billboard with thankful remarks has putted on main Shahrah e Faisal which is heading towards Metropole and is right opposite to Regent Plaza. The location of this billboard is chosen with keeping in mind that Shahrah e Faisal is the way of II Chundrigar Road, which is called the main business location of Karachi. According to Rehan Allahwala, billboard has been putted as his ‘Offline Social Media’ campaign to thank Facebook for their free internet.
“We put up billboards of … people who we need something from, but [we] never appreciate [those] people who are doing good work. So I want to use that billboard for spreading better messages,” Rehan Allahwala told Pakistani newspaper.
It is to be noted that previously Facebook has announced to provide free internet service to all the Pakistani users through Telenor. They can avail this offer through Internet.org, which allows them to open many local and international websites including BBC, Unicef, Bing.com, OLX, Facebook, Wikipedia, ESPN and many others.
