Salman MasoodIslamabad:  Rangers have raid on the home of representative of American newspaper New York Times, Salman Masood. According to the reports of Pakistani media, the law enforcement agency has raid on Salman Masood’s home in Islamabad on Monday, 11th January 2016. Just after this raid, Salman Masood had shared pictures of Rangers officials on his official Twitter account and posted that they don’t even have permission or search warrant with them. According to Salman Masood, Rangers officials have not told any reason of this raid and said that it was a routine search operation.

Salman Masood told the media that one person in the civil dress said that he wants to search Salman Masood house. Salman Masood asked him to show his identity but he didn’t replied. On the other end, Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar has taken notice of this raid and asked both the police and rangers to present report of this raid. In his statement, Chaudhry Nisar said that these types of operations and raids will not be tolerated at any cost.

Previously, bureau chief of New York Times newspaper in Pakistan, Declan Walsh had also asked by the Interior Ministry to leave Pakistan, after some suspicious activities.
