Islamabad: One of the leading news channels of Pakistan, ARY Islamabad office is attacked by crackers on Wednesday. According to the media reports, two unidentified motorcyclists tried to enter in the office of ARY News, situated in the posh area of Islamabad. When security guard of ARY News stopped them at the entry gate, they throw hand grenade in the office and escaped from there. Due to this attack, satellite engineer of ARY News present in the office has injured and taken to the hospital. Last year, satellite engineer of Geo News was also killed in Karachi after attack on DSNG van.
All the journalists unions including PFUJ, KUJ and many others have condemned the attack on ARY News office in Islamabad and asked the government to ensure the security of media houses. Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Nawaz Sharif has also condemned this attack and ordered law enforcement agencies for arresting people involved in this attack.
On the other end, ARY News claimed that they have been threatened by ISIS and different banned organizations from the last few months and proclaimed warning letter is also left by the attackers. Federal Minister of Broadcast and Information, Pervez Rasheed has also condemned this attack and ensured that the suspected people will be arrested soon.
