Bahria Town TVAs Pakistani media industry is desperately waiting for the entry of new giant Bahria Town, Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has shown serious concerns on it. According to the sources of PEMRA, the authority has taken notice on the job advertisement given by Bahria Town for their new channel Bahria Town TV. The authorities of PEMRA have denied to issue any license to this channel and issued notice to Bahria Town, in which it has been asked to clarify the need of advertisement before taking any license.

Previously, Chairman of Bahria Town and property tycoon of Pakistan, Malik Riaz had announced to launch 4 new channels under the banner of Bahria Town, in October 2015. These 4 channels consists of news, sports, entertainment and property. In November 2015, whole page advertisement was published in leading newspapers of Pakistan regarding jobs in Bahria Town TV. Journalists associated with Pakistani channels started applying in the upcoming media group and hoped that it will offer much higher salaries and other benefits as compared to existing media groups in Pakistan.

It is to be noted that Bahria Town and Malik Riaz have not given any statement regarding this notice and sources have claimed that the issue will be settled in upcoming days.
