Nasir Baig Chughtai is one of the most senior and experienced journalists in Pakistan. He has proved himself as a successful and professional journalist throughout his more than 30 years of experience in the journalism. Nasir Baig Chughtai had completed his Bachelors in Arts from National College, Karachi in 1972. After completing his studies, Nasir Baig Chughtai looked to make his career in the field of Journalism and treated it as a passion more than profession.
Nasir Baig Chughtai had started his journalism career properly in 1980’s, from Jang Group of Publications as a Sub Editor. He had been promoted to several key positions in the largest media group of Pakistan, including Joint News Editor, News Editor, Deputy Editor and Chief News Editor. Later On, Nasir Baig Chughtai joined Daily Urdu News, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, as Editor and is founding member of the newspaper.

He was included in the launching members of Geo News from Dubai. Nasir Baig Chughtai had hosted more than 200 programs on Geo News, and raised several local and international issues including Kashmir, Palestine, Iraq and Afghanistan. He is the first Pakistani anchor who had hosted a program on the topic “Whether Pakistan Should Accept Israel or Not”.

Then he returned back to Geo News as Executive Director of the channel and later on holds the position of Director News. In 2012, Nasir Baig Chughtai again left Geo News and joined Abb Takk Television as Director News and Current Affairs, where he tried his best to make it a quality news channel.
In November 2014, Nasir Baig Chughtai left Abb Takk News and joined Bol News as Senior Executive Vice President. He had recruited best journalists from all over the country for the news room of the channel and currently hosting a program “NBC On Air”.
