Asad Abbas SahiSenior Journalist Asad Abbas Sahi passes away at 48 years of age. He died because of heart attack on Saturday 4th April, 2015 late at night. His younger brother Aun Sahi reported that his brother died in a local hospital. His body was laid to rest in Mandraanwala-Daska, Sialkot District. He left behind his wife, son and daughter to battle with the grief to live without him.

People in multitudes gathered at his funeral at Mandraanwala, including the local elected representatives, senior police officials and senior journalists. Number of politicians and eminent figures condoled at his death and prayed for the eternal peace of the deceased, along with the bereaved family for bearing the loss patiently. President of Pakistan Peoples Party Central Punjab Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo condoled the sad demise on behalf of his party, in his message of condolence he said that Late Asad Abbas was well respected, his contribution to journalism will always be remembered. He prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and for granting patience to the left behind family.

Journalist Asad Abbas Shai was a former vice president of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ). He was associated as a chief reporter with the Lahore based TV Channel, City 42. He initiated his career in journalism with Jang group and also spent some time working with Express Group.
