Pakistani actress, host, politician and business woman Atiqa Odho has been cleared in wine case. The officials at Benazir International Airport Islamabad found imported wine bottles in her luggage but no action was taken against her as she was about to board a Karachi bound flight, because of her political affiliation with Pervez Musharraf but Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry Chief Justice of Pakistan at that time took suo moto and ordered to register a case against her.
Back in 2011 when this all happened she had to leave her office at All Pakistan Muslim League of Pervez Musharraf. This case itself raised many questions on the Supreme Court of that time whose chief was Iftikhar Chaudhry. Rather than taking effective steps on serious issues their focus was on a minor matter pertaining to a single person rather than solving the issues which pertained to the whole nation. Islam forbids wine not only its consumption but trading it too, being an Islamic State to the extent we have been able to promulgate this law is right in front of us. Despite that Atiqa Odho in her personal capacity is responsible for such an act.
Her professional life started in 1989, as a fashion artist and hair stylist. Later on she joined Media and is affiliated with media since then. She has worked in Scores of Drama Serials and number of films too. Her political career was a brief one she joined All Pakistan Muslim League in 2010 and resigned in 2011.
