Leading entertainment channel of Pakistan, Hum TV is planning to launch news channel soon in Pakistan. According to owner of Hum TV Sultana Siddiqui, she has plans to launch a news channel soon in Pakistan. While giving her interview to popular UK broadcaster, Sultana Siddiqui said that she wants to launch a news channel where all the journalistic values would be assured. She said that the basic reason of launching news channel is to portray the better image of Pakistan. Sultana Siddiqui said that there are many entertainment channels in Pakistan but the industry is facing lack of technical staff.
Sultana Siddiqui said that the industry is also facing crises of talented artists, because demands of experienced artists in Pakistan are very high. She said that the experienced artists of television industry demands high amount after which channels and producers have no choice. Sultana Siddiqui said that after 2 decades, Pakistani drama industry has now recovered from the crises and quality dramas have been broadcasted by the channels. She said that the trend of Indian and Turkish dramas in Pakistan had badly hit local industry.
Sultana Siddiqui also said that the media and entertainment industry of Pakistan can only grow when there are some institutions in the country which provides technical training.
