Geo News Office demagedIslamabad: Once again Geo News’ Office in Islamabad is attacked by participating people of the continuing sit-ins on Sunday night. According to the reports, protestors of both political parties Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Pakistan Awami Tehreek assembled near the Red Zone in front of the Geo News office and started to throw stones at the windows and glasses due to which building is in great damaged.

It is reported that vehicles and other properties near the venue also became of this attack as well as solid security wall of the building was also broken by the protestors through which they entered near the building of office. [alert style=”white”] It is pertinent to mention that Geo News Office and its staff have also attacked and harassed several times since the time of starting of sit-in of the PTI in Islamabad.[/alert] However, no staff member was hurt by this recent attack of PTI and PAT’s protestors as workers of Geo, Jang and The News were busy in their work at that time.

Afzal Butt, the President of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) condemned the attack and demanded protection for the journalists who used to work inside the office daily. He also said that Imran Khan and Dr Tahir ul Qadri should ask for an apology for mistreatment of their protestors as they have already attacked on reporters and Geo news’s office.
