Fakhr-e-Alam singerSinger turned businessman Fakhr-e-Alam has been appointed chairman of Censor Board Sindh by Government of Sindh. A notification in this regard has also been issued. Fakhr while talking with media said that his first priorty will be to amend the censor code and film motion act.
The 37-year-old Fakhr who is still considered a pioneer of pop and bhangra music in Pakistan also said that he will take action against those cinemas (including multiplex cinemas) where national anthem is not played before the film which was routine in the past.
Fakhr-e-Alam is a very successful businessman and is CEO of Alam and Alam company based in UAE. Its business is expanded to South Africa, Morocco and United Kingdom (UK).
Zulfiqar Ramzi was chairman of Sindh Board of Film Censors before Fakhr. Zulfiqar Ramzi was appointed as chairman by caretaker set-up in Sindh in May 2013.
