Senior comedian and actor of television and theatre Iftikhar Thakur has revealed that he had repaired tyre punctures before entering showbiz industry in past. Popular comedian said that he had done the work of tyre puncture repairing in Islamabad. He said that he did not even imagine that he will ever associated with the showbiz industry but his good luck had launched him in the showbiz industry by chance. Iftikhar Thakur has also disclosed that he had done comparing in an event at Liaquat Bagh, Rawalpindi in 1993 and that was actually the beginning of his showbiz life.
In an interview, Iftikhar Thakur said that he had met popular singer Abida Parveen three times. He met Abida Parveen for the first time when he does tyre puncture work in Islamabad. Abida Parveen came to Iftikhar Thakur’s shop for puncture repairing and she gave him extra 20 rupees for the puncture. She then came back to him and after asking his name, she said that “You will become a popular artist one day”, Iftikhar Thakur added.
Iftikhar Thakur said that then he met Abida Parveen for the second time in Liaquat Bagh during comparing and third time earlier this week after 22 years, when she said to him that after all you have reached your destination.
Renowned comedian Iftikhar Thakur further added that the prayers of his elder sister Abida Parveen are behind his success, after his hard work.
