Rohi-TV-livePakistan’s first current affair television channel, Channel 24 has bought Seraiki TV channel, Rohi TV. According to the sources of Pakistani media industry, a Multan based Seraiki channel Rohi TV is bought by Mohsin Naqvi, the owner of Channel 24 and City 42. The sources have claimed that Mohsin Naqvi is seeking to re-launch this channel in Multan and Bahawalpur with some major changes. The owner also has a plan to hire some renowned journalists for Rohi TV, in order to improve its news quality and viewership.

Currently, Rohi TV is broadcasting hourly news bulletins, music, infotainment, talk shows and some valuable documentaries. The viewership of the channel normally comes from Multan, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan and Dera Ismail Khan, but it will now focus on only two major Seraiki spoken cities of Punjab, Multan and Bahawalpur. Mohsin Naqvi is already successfully running a recently launched news channel, Channel 24 and City 42, covering events and happenings of Lahore city. The owner of the channel is also planning to launch a Faisalabad based channel, City 43 in the upcoming months.

The staff and journalists of Rohi TV have appreciated this initiative by Mohsin Naqvi and hoped that the channel would grow under his ownership.
