BannedAfter receiving so many complaints, Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority has banned Josh Condom advertisement. According to the media reports, PEMRA has issued a notice for all the television channels, newspapers and radio channels of Pakistan, in which it is directed that they would not broadcast or publish the commercial of Josh Condom until and unless it would be edited. PEMRA spokesperson has said in this regards that the authority had received many complaints for this commercial and people have claimed that the commercial is immoral and vulgar, which is damaging traditions of the country.

In 2013, commercial of Josh Condom was also banned in the country after similar type of protest on social media and people have showed their anger on this by registering complaint regarding the vulgarity and immorality in that commercial. While after receiving so much complaints, PEMRA had also banned that commercial but same type of commercial has been also broadcasted from the last few days on television channels. PEMRA has mentioned in its notice that the commercial can be only broadcasted on television channels and other mediums if it will be according to the socio-cultural and religious norms.

It is to be noted that people have strongly condemned this type of advertisement on Pakistani channels and asked that PEMRA should have to implement its rules and regulation.
