PEMRA Shows Interest to Resolve Bol Workers Issue
Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority has now showed its interest to resolve Bol workers issue. According to a press release issued by General Manager Public Relations of PEMRA Fakhar ud Din Mughal, PEMRA has taken an initiate to resolve salary issue of all the employees of Bol TV. In this press release, it is stated that Rawalpindi Islamabad Union of Journalists had filed a petition in Islamabad High Court, in which Interior Ministry, Ministry of Information and PEMRA have been involved by the petitioner. After hearing this case, honorable court had ordered all the concerned authorities to settle this case.
After this order, PEMRA has now send a letter to Ministry of Information and Broadcast to settle this case and find an appropriate solution of this issue. PEMRA has also accepted the sensitivity of this case and stated in this press release that all the employees of Bol Television are suffering a lot. The authority has also stated in this letter that Ministry of Information should consult with PEMRA and Ministry of Information to pay the salary dues of all the employees of Bol TV.
