London: International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) selected Veena Malik and her husband Asad Bashir Khan Khattak as ambassadors for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). Veena Malik and her husband said while talking to the media that they will visit the US soon.
The couple also said that we will make our efforts in order to increase fund raising for IDPS in different sectors of ICRC as well as we will also like to meet Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) connected to United Nations (UN). Actress Veena Malik said in this regard that I am feeling very good after selected as ambassador and i am felling happy that I will address the dominant issues in Pakistan. It is pertinent to mention that Veena Malik and her husband also appointed as goodwill ambassador at The International Human Rights Commission (IHRC) in the month of May, 2014 as Asad Khattak has also remained goodwill ambassador in the past. Veena Malik who is showing keen interest in social working from the past few months is all set to work for the displaced families through ICRC.
