Actress reema sweepingLahore: Reema Khan, the Lollywood high profile actress was witnessed sweeping up one of the Lahore roads. Carrying the broom, wearing coat of LWMC and hat she engaged herself in the cleaning up activity. Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC), an organization that deals with the cleaning activities in the city did active part on the Holy occasion of Eid-ul-Azha this year.
The actress contributed her part on the occasion by sweeping one of the unclean roads. Talking to the media men, she said that Pakistan is her motherland and she would always extend full support in upgrading cleanliness, education and health standards in the country. Reema along with the LWMC members had distributed plastic bags in the nearby areas and took the charge of cleaning the society.
Manager of the Management Communications, Maimoona Arsalan stated that before the event of the holy occasion we have tried to inculcate awareness the masses about the steps taken this time.
Our campaign, bearing the slogan, “QURBANI AAP KA WAADA, SAFAI HUMARY WADA” is aimed to ensure clean streets with no polluted, dumped gutters and animal parts left on the roads that cause bad smell and become reason for various diseases. She has appealed to the citizens to take actions accordingly.

161 camps, 1500 vehicles and 11000 LWMC members have been deployed and established to serve the masses with the facility. The residents have appreciated the district government’s step and have expressed satisfaction over their performance.
