Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s leader Yasmeen Rashid has broken the Geo News boycott policy of PTI by talking with one of the Geo News’ reporter during the event of Azadi March. It is pertinent to mention that PTI’s chairman Imran Khan has announced to boycott Geo News and Jang group by saying that no one member of PTI will talk to Geo and appear in their programs until they ask for an apology from us.
PTI leader Yasmeen Rashid did not keep the boycott of Imran Khan and has openly talked to Geo News regarding arrival of Azadi March at Islamabad. At the event, Geo News’ reporter thanked to Yasmeen Rashid for talking with Geo News despite PTI’s boycott of Geo news and said that we hope PTI will take part in our programs too. The main reasons of Imran Khan of boycotting Geo News were that he believed that channel was involved in rigging during the national elections held last year.
Imran Khan also claimed that Geo was the channel who on-aired a victory speech of Nawaz Sharif even when the election outcomes had not been completely calculated as they were giving favor to Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz. Imran also blamed channel for involving in foreign funding which is considered as a great loss of Pakistan.
