Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority has asked all the sports channels of Pakistan to install time delay machine during live cricket matches. In a recent notice issued to all the sports channels of Pakistan including PTV Sports, Ten Sports and Geo Super, PEMRA has directed the management of these channels to immediately install time delay machine during live cricket matches. This initiative has been taken by the authority after receiving lots of complains of airing vulgar and inappropriate scenes by the sports channels. Recently, leading news channel ARY News has been also warned for airing anti Malala campaign.
PEMRA has stated in its notice that state owned sports channel of Pakistan, PTV Sports had broadcasted vulgar scene during test match between Australia and New Zealand, on 12th February 2016. The authority has said that it had received lots of complaints from the viewers against that scene. PEMRA has stated that these types of scenes are against the code of conduct 2015 of electronic media, implemented by the Supreme Court.
The authority has also mentioned that similar position was experienced during PSL launching ceremony.

PEMRA has warned all the sports channels to not broadcast immoral and vulgar scene, which resulted in harassment for the viewers.
