After the end of drama serial ‘Firaq’ Hum TV is going to telecast a new drama serial ‘Nikah’ on January 4, 2014 at 8:00 pm. The leading cast comprises Junaid Khan; Sonia Hussain and Sanam Chaudhry.The show is produced by Wajahat Rauf, directed by Ahmed Bhatti and written By Nasir Hussain.
Story of the drama does not seem to be new at all. As the teasers of the drama reveal, drama’s story will revolve around controversial nikah and the difference between a family-nikah and love-nikah. Sonia and Sanam will be racing against each other to be Junaid’s wife. Sonia will be Junaid’s family choice while Sanam and Junaid will be love birds. Saba Faisal, Seemi Pasha, Shehreyar Zaidi, Tipu Shareed and Kiran Tabeer will be playing different roles in the serial.
Hum TV has previously screened a different drama with the same name in 2012. Now the 2014’s ‘Nikah’ has more or less the same basic theme of ‘double marriage’ like drama serials of ARY Digital ‘Shukk’ and ‘Dusri Biwi’.
People don’t seem much interested in this old story drama. Let’s see how audience reacts after its 1st episode. The drama will mainly target house wives.
