Mureed Abbas Khar is a famous News anchor in Pakistan who was affiliated with Bol News of Pakistan at the time of his murder.
He has been affiliated with many prominent news channels in Pakistan. His success made him a prominent and famous news anchor within few years.
Birth & Education:
Mureed Abbas was born in Mianwali, Punjab and came to Karachi to find work. It is here that he then continued his early education.
He completed his schooling from Al-Sehar School and then got admission in DHA Degree college. After college he decided to pursue his studies as a student of Mass Communication. After graduation he joined news channels as a news anchor.
Professional Career:
Mureed Abbas came to prominence from Samaa News where he served as news anchor in the year June 2010 – January 2013.
Before Smaa he also worked in Business Plus channel in the same manner for two years 2007-2009.
Mureed successfully accepted all challenges during his work and continued his journey in his professional career.
After Samaa News he joined another news channel Abb Takk to which he remained affiliated until he got the opportunity to become part of Bol News. He remained part of Bol Group until his death.
Personal Life:
Details about his personal life are not known but he married Zara and was living with his wife in Defence Housing Authority (DHA).
Death:
Mureed Abbas was shot dead in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA) on July 9, 2019. The killer and murderer was one of his friends and initial investigation revealed that it was due to some investment.
Police is probing the murder case and according to details Mureed Abbas and his friend invested their savings in the business of the killer Atif Zaman. Many other people, TV anchors and friends also gave Atif Zaman huge amount for investment in the hope for return.
It is said that now Mureed Abbas was demanding the return of his investment. Wife of Mureed Abbas also narrated a similar story and said Zaman called his husband for collecting the amount, but then he shot the victim.
