One of the most senior journalists and news anchors of Pakistani media industry, Javed Iqbal has join upcoming Pushto language news channel Mashriq TV. According to the sources of Pakistani media industry, Javed Iqbal has joined the channel as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The sources of Pakistani media industry have told that the channel is owned by Mashriq Group of Newspapers and test transmission of Mashriq TV may be started in April, this year. The headquarter of the channel is based in Peshawar, however its offices will be opened in other cities as well. Previously, Javed Iqbal had been appointed as a host for Bol Pakistan show.
Javed Iqbal is considered among very few media personalities of Pakistan who have proved themselves with their hard work and dedication. He had joined the media industry in 2002 as a news anchor of biggest media group of Pakistan, Geo News. After 7 years of association with the channel, Javed Iqbal had joined Dunya News as program host, in 2009. He then joined Capital TV again as a program host in 2012. Javed Iqbal had joined Bol News in 2015 as Executive Content Manager and Anchorperson, but the channel was closed due to Axact controversy.
