Senior journalist of ARY News Sami Ibrahim has been attacked by Nawaz League workers in Washington. According to the media report, Sami Ibrahim entered in the ceremony for coverage, at the arrival of Pakistani PM Nawaz Sharif in Washington, but PML (N) workers badly abused him just after PM speech. They also forced Sami Ibrahim not to cover the ceremony, which was held in Pakistani Embassy, Washington. PM Nawaz Sharif was addressing Pakistani community residing in America during this ceremony.
Just after this attack, Sami Ibrahim went live on ARY News and reported the whole incident. He said that the attack was pre-planned and the attackers asked him to apologize for so called wrong reporting. They pushed him back and asked him to leave from there. Sami Ibrahim reported that the attackers were PML (N) workers and all of them can be identified through CCTV cameras installed in Pakistani Embassy. He said they were lead by secretary of PML (N), Rana Saeed. He also alleged Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Defence Minister Khawaja Asif behind this attack and said that directions have been given by them.
It is to be noted that it is not the first time that senior journalist attacked by political workers but we have seen this hundreds and thousand times previously.
