Senior journalist of Pakistani print and electronic media industry, Nadeem Alvi passes away on Sunday, 26th July. He was admitted in Al Shifa Hospital, Islamabad and suffering from liver failure disease. Nadeem Alvi was brought from Lahore to Islamabad few days ago and admitted in the hospital due to serious condition. But yesterday, the doctors have announced his death. Namaz e Janaza of Nadeem Alvi offered in Lahore on Sunday and buried in Mian Sahib Graveyard. Nadeem Alvi was 52 years old.
Different political and social personalities have attended the funeral of Nadeem Alvi including President of Press Club Arshad Ansari, DGPR Athar Ali Khan, Yahya Mujahid, Khalid Mehmood Khalid, Nadeem Raza, Naveed Hilal Zaidi, Shafiq Awan and many others. While Governor and CM Punjab, Chief Secretary Punjab, IG Punjab, Secretary Parliament Rana Arshad, Indian HC Dr. TCA Raghwan and many other renowned personalities expressed grief and sorrow on the death of Nadeem Alvi and offered condolence with his family.
Nadeem Alvi was considered as one of the most senior investigative journalists of Pakistani media industry and had been working for Jang Group and Geo News as a Senior Correspondent. He was very popular in the journalists circle as a soft-hearted and supportive nature man.
