Mubashir Zaidi, former journalist of Dawn News resigned from the channel after 23 years of services.

In his tweet, he broke the news and added that he will be leaving for Turkey and joining TRT World an international Turkish channel.



Zaidi is going to join TRT World, as executive producer of The Newsmakers which covers current affairs programme, featuring reports and interviews.

Journalist and television personality Mubashir Zaidi co-hosts the well-liked news program Zara Hut Kay on Dawn News. He formerly worked as an editor for Dawn TV and DAWN.COM.

He previously served as a special correspondent for the BBC, LA Times, Hindustan Times, and Voice of America. He also writes for India’s most popular newspaper, The Hindu. Mubashir has written a lot about politics, terrorism, and the illicit nuclear business.

TRT World is a 24-hour, English-language worldwide news station that is owned by the Turkish Public Broadcaster and situated in Taksim Square, Istklal Avenue, Beyoğlu, Istanbul.
