Karachi Press Club has organized Jashn-e-Azadi Mushaira on the special occasion of 68th Independence Day of Pakistan. According to the Secretary Karachi Press Club A.H Khanzada, Mushaira is the great cultural and literary tradition of the Subcontinent whose example is not available in the whole world. He said that Mushaira is our ancient tradition but it is unfortunately not upholded. A.H Khanzada said that we are struggling to continue the tradition of Mushaira with all its qualities and Jashn-e-Azadi Mushaira is also a part of the series.
While addressing the participants of Shairi Nishist at Karachi Press Club, A.H Khanzada said that said that we will continue our struggle in future also to uphold this tradition with all its qualities. He said that the Karachi Press Club is organizing Jashan-e-Azadi Mushaira in the night of 13th -14th of August, in which popular poets and writers will present their words.
The Shairi Nishist had been organized to honour popular songwriter, poet and columnist Younus Hamdam, who came from US and it was chaired by famous poet Ajmal Siraj. Special guest Younus Hamdam said that the Pakistani writers, poet and artists who are settled in foreign countries, struggle to increase the dignity and reputation of the country.
