The current heat wave in Karachi has taken more than 1000 innocent human lives in the biggest city of Pakistan, Karachi. Hottest temperature had broken many previous records and effected Children, teenagers, men, women and old age people badly. Almost all the hospitals were full of the heat stroke patients and there was no space for more patients. Electricity and water shortage had also made people helpless and it was looking that there was no government and administration in the city.
In this critical situation when all the anchors and hosts were only raising this issue in their luxurious and air conditioned sets, most popular host and trend setter of Ramzan transmission Dr. Aamir Liaquat created another history. Aamir Liaquat and his team organizes special Ramzan transmission at Jinnah hospital Karachi, to show the situation of the hospitals on Geo Television Network. The whole Aftar transmission of Ramzan Shareef was live broadcasted from Jinnah Hospital Karachi, on 23rd June.
Aamir Liaquat had shown on ground situation of the biggest government hospital of Karachi where patients were waiting for their turn, outside the building in the premises of Jinnah Hospital. He had called people to come out and help the patients by bringing food, medicines, chilled water and specially blocks of ice, so that they could have some relaxation. After some time, many people were there along with food, ice, water, juices and many necessities to help the patients effected by heat stroke.
Aamir Liaquat had also helped the effected people by his own as much as he can, through his NGO Mahmooda Sultana Foundation (MSF). The Ramzan Shareef Aftar transmission of that day was broadcasted in very difficult situation and host had been seen putting small wet pieces of clothes on his head to decrease the weather effect, in order to continue the transmission.
This brave step of Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain had been widely discussed on social media and people have appreciated his efforts to serve the humanity. Even his critics were speechless on this step and some of them have also recognized his work to help the effected people on ground, despite of raising voice from chilled studios like other hosts.
