Former cricketer Shoaib Akhtar is ready to try his luck in the showbiz field after cricket and commentary. According to the sources of Pakistani showbiz industry, Rawalpindi Express is likely to perform in an item song, in an upcoming Pakistani movie “Sikander”. Actor Moammar Rana, has convinced the former cricketer Shoaib Akhtar to perform in the item number of his debut film as a director.
The story and other cast of the film is not yet announced by the producer and it will be soon announced along with the co-actress of Shoaib Akhtar in the item song. The shooting of the item song will be held in Lahore after Eid-ul-Fitar, Pakistani newspaper reported. When the sources of the newspaper approached Moammar Rana for the confirmation of this news, he refused to comment on this news.
“We will be organizing a press conference in which we shall be revealing the cast for the film”, Co-Producer of the film Mehnaz Moammar said.
It will be not the first time that any cricketer will perform in the film but in past, we have also seen Ajay Jadeja, Andrew Symonds and Brett Lee, acted in the films. Previously, Shoaib Akhtar had offered to act as a villain in the Bollywood film “Gangster”, but he had refused to do it.
The fans of the Rawalpindi Express are very excited to see him in the film and it would definitely something new for them.
