vaccinated childrenMeasles is a deadly & infectious disease which occurs mostly in children, after increase in measles cases a vaccination campaign is running around the world and in Pakistan which is spreading awareness and vaccinating children.

The campaign was initiated because the numbers of Measles cases were increasing day by day. From 1st January till 31st December, 2017 total number of 10,540 suspected cases were tested in the lab from which 6,494 were confirmed.

Health workers in Pakistan have currently vaccinated more than 32 million children which is one sixth of population. In 2016, 19,148 cases of Measles were reported from all over Pakistan.

Symptoms of Measles:

Below is the list of symptoms of Measles:

  • High Fever, mostly greater than 40 °C (104.0 °F)
  • Cough
  • Inflamed eyes
  • Runny nose

Children who are suffering from Measles may also form small white spots inside of their mouth after 2 to 3 days appearance of symptoms.

To make children of Pakistan free from Measles, health workers are using every possible resource to reach all the children and make them vaccinated against this deadly disease. The government is providing free vaccinations to children of ages between 9 months and 5 years.

It is the duty of all the parents that they should get their kids vaccinated against Measles from the nearest Measles Vaccination Camp or Hospital.
