One of the most famous and experienced host of Pakistani television industry, Shaista Lodhi (Previously known as Shaista Wahidi), likely to rejoin Geo Television Network. The sources of the Pakistani media industry are claiming that the management of Geo Television Network has finalized a deal with Shaista Lodhi and she may announced rejoining with the channel soon. It is possible that Shaista Lodhi will start hosting the morning show on Geo Television. On other hand, sources in Hum TV haven’t confirmed this.
Shaista Lodhi had joined Geo Television Network in 2010 and started hosting the morning show named “Utho Jago Pakistan”, which soon became the most popular morning show of Pakistan.
Some reliable sources also told Pakistan Media Updates that speculations regarding her rejoining of Geo Network are baseless.
Previously, she had been connected with ARY Digital and hosted morning show there and proved her skills to be a number one morning show host of Pakistan television industry.
After joining Geo Television in 2010, Shaista Lodhi had proved that the best place for number one host should be in no.1 media group.
Morning show host faced the difficulties in May 2014, when she allegedly attempted the blasphemy in her show, when she was celebrating the marriage of controversial actress Veena Malik with her husband Asad Khattak. Although Shaista Lodhi had apologized for her attempt and called it a mistake by just coincidence. The protests were started throughout the country after that controversial program and the license of Geo Television had been suspended for one month. Shaista Lodhi had also left the country after receiving continuous threats from different religious groups.
Same case happened with Junaid Jamshed few months ago but he has also returned back in the media industry and started hosting Ramzan transmission “Shan e Ramzan on ARY Digital.
In 2015, Shaista Lodhi has also announced her second marriage on her Twitter account, but she has not revealed the name of her husband yet.
