Muhammad Usman is one of the most experienced journalists of Pakistani print and electronic media industry. He has proved himself as a dedicated and successful journalist throughout his 22 years of experience in the journalism. He had completed his intermediate education from FC College, Lahore and gets his Master’s degree in Mass Communication from Punjab University, in 1993. He was one of the most intelligent and hardworking student of his time, and attracted his teachers with his skills.
Soon after his studies, Muhammad Usman had started his professional career from Nawaiwaqt Newspaper, Lahore in 1993 as a Sub Editor. Then he moved to Islamabad just after one year to build his career in the reporting field and had been associated with several news agencies and newspapers as a reporter, during this period. He had covered several national and international events for the renowned news agencies which led him to join biggest newspaper of Pakistan.

Then he joined another Urdu language newspaper Daily Insaf as a Magazine Editor and was included in its launching members. In 2002, Muhammad Usman got an opportunity to enter in electronic media industry and he joined largest media group of Pakistan, Geo Television Network as a Deputy Editor.

He had served Express News for approximately one year and then returned back to Geo News as a Bureau Chief, Dubai. Later on, he had been promoted to several key positions in the channel including Head of Bulletins and Controller News. In 2009, he was appointed as a Head of first headlines news channel of Pakistan, Geo Tez.
Muhammad Usman left Geo Tez in early 2015 and joined Bol News as a Senior Vice President. He had been involved in the procedure of appointing journalists and making news strategy of the channel.
In July 2015, he has left Bol News and joined Dunya News as Director News. Summarizing his last few years work in Journalism, Muhammad Usman shared status that he migrated from Dubai to Karachi in 2008 then migrated to Lahore from Karachi in 2015.
