Play TV which is formerly known as music and lifestyle channel is going to become Play Max, HD Entertainment TV Channel which will air Dramas and Films soon as it has started test transmission. Head of Sales for the channel, Tariq Mirza told that Play TV is actually merging with Play Max in order to provide pure entertainment so that people will enjoy every aspect of entertainment through Play Max.
Tariq Mirza further told that it was necessary for the Play TV to get revenue for the channel as only advertisements and ads were the cause of income which is becoming impossible for the channel to continue. According to details, Play TV was launched in 2008 by the Business Recorder Group which was initiated as music and lifestyle channel which aims to provide music shows, talk shows and live jams. As we know that Pakistan drama industry is touching its peak as they are appreciated all over the world that’s why today more preference is given to drama channels instead of music channels in order to collect highest rating and income as well.
It is pertinent to mention that earlier Style360 channel which was known as the first fashion channel of Pakistan was emerged as a Hum2 where fashion and drama both sides of entertainment is showing under one roof. As style360 was also the part of the Hum network which was started in the year 2008.
