Mishal-HusainPakistani presenter Mishal Husain wins London Press Club Award. She was nominated along with Matt Frei of Channel 4 News, Alison Holt from BBC and Tulip Muzumdar global health reporter of BBC. BBC’s director of news James Harding said that the award is given to deserved person. She was also congratulated on this occasion by Muslim Council of Britain on Twitter and other followers. Mishal Husain was happy yet humble at her success.

She thanked everyone  for congratulating her on the auspicious occasion.

Ms. Mishal was born in Northampton to a Pakistani couple. She studied International and Corporate Law from Florence, Italy. She stepped into media industry in 1996 as a producer. She was producer at Bloomberg Television in London and presented once in a while. She was associated with BBC news and BBC World news. She also did a coverage from Cairo during Egyptian revolution and also reported the recent Taliban attack on School at Peshawar.

She got recognition from Ten o’clock news and hosting show at BBC World. Ms. Mishal has reported from several countries including Pakistan, China, Egypt and others. She is highly professional and was also included in Britain’s list of 50 most influencing Muslim women in 2009.
