Islamabad: The prominent newscaster and host of Waqt News Television Ameer Abbas has joined Dawn News after two years of working at Waqt TV. The host of the programs of Waqt TV “Assignment” and “The News Lounge” has almost done over 200 programs at the same channel in which he has proved his talent.
Host Ameer Abbas who possess an extensive experience in the field of hosting will start his new job at Dawn News from the 1st of August. He has worked at Express News as he started to work at Express news in the year 2010 where he worked from Oct 28, 2010 to Jun 27, 2012. He also remained the part of Dunya TV in Apr 2010 to Oct 2010. Furthermore, he served at Bank Alfalah too from Jun 21, 2005 to Mar 15, 2009 where he worked as Regional Incharge in Fraud & Risk Management Unit.
While working at the Waqt TV, host Ameer Abbas was charged by Ansar Abbasi who is the Editor Investigation of The News for not opposing guest in his show who used insulting language for Ansar Abbasi. The guest was Arshad Ansari who is the President of Lahore Press Club blamed Ansar Abbasi for corrupt journalism. For not objecting on the statements of his guest, Ameer Abbas charged Rs. 50 million by Ansar Abbasi as the case is still going on.
