Intizar HussainFamous Urdu fiction and novel writer of Pakistan Intizar Hussain has passed away in Lahore. 93 years old Intizar Hussain was ill from the past few days and admitted in the hospital. Family of Intizar Hussain has told the media that he was suffering from Pneumonia and fever, due to which he had been admitted in the hospital from the past few days. He was died on Tuesday in the evening and his Namaz e Janaza will be offered on Wednesday, in Lahore. Few months ago, another famous novelist Ishtiaq Ahmed had also passed away in Karachi.

Intizar Hussain was born on 7 December 1923 in Dibai, Bulandshahr, India, and migrated to Pakistan in 1947. He had completed his MA in Urdu from Punjab University and joined journalism. The first fiction collection of Intizar Hussain was published in 1953, with the title “Gali Koochey”. Total 8 collections of fiction, 4 novels, 2 volumes of autobiographies and one novel of Intizar Hussain were published. However, he had also written some travelogues and translated several books throughout his life.

During his life, Intizar Hussain had honored with several awards for his achievements in not only Pakistan, but also in other parts of the world. Fans of Intizar Hussain have showed their grief and sorrow on his death.
