Karachi: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested fake suit seller of popular brand, Sana Safinaz. According to the reports, FIA team has raided a whole sale at Tariq Road on Tuesaday, after receiving complaints from the attorneys of popular brand Sana Safinaz. The team had also visited the godown of the cloth merchant, Mehboob where they found hundreds of fake suit packets with the name of Sana Safinaz. FIA has arrested the shopkeeper on the spot and take all the fake suits in their custody.
According to the sources of FIA, Additional Director Anti Corruption Jawed Akber Riaz had received a complaint from the Faisalabad based popular brand Sana Safinaz, in which it was identified that a merchant is supplying fake suits in the market with their name, which is a clear violation of the copyright act. Jawed Akber formed a team under the supervision of Assistant Director Khalid Shakeel, which has raided on a flat situated in Dupatta Gali Tariq Road.
The officials of FIA have said that the suits were manufactured in United and Silko named factories in Faisalabad and further investigations in this case are continued.
It is to be stated that Sana Safinaz is a popular clothing brand of Pakistan, which has outlets in all over the country.
