Popular television host and senior journalist of Pakistani media industry Aftab Iqbal has left Geo News and now connected with another big news channel, Express News. Aftab Iqbal was hosting famous and widely appreciated political-comedy talk show Khabarnaak, on Geo News. He had been also writing columns in Jang News and The News. Aftab Iqbal will soon host his new comedy talk show “Khabardaar”, on Express News and will also write columns in Express Newspaper. According to the sources of Pakistani media industry, initial preparations and format of the show has been finalized and he will start his show later this month.
Aftab Iqbal was born on 19th September 1961, in Okara and got his early education from his hometown. In 1985, Aftab Iqbal had completed his Masters from Government College University Lahore and studied media from San Jose State University, America. Then he returned back to Pakistan and later on served as Media Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab from 1994 to 1996. He had started his hosting career in 2008 from Dunya News where he had hosted popular comedy show Hasb-e-Haal. In 2010, Aftab Iqbal left Dunya News and joined biggest media group, Geo News.
Senior journalists and fellows of Aftab Iqbal have congratulated him for his new journey, while Express News management has welcomed him and hoped that he will entertain the viewers of news channel with his unique style.
