According to the fast growing of Pakistani entertainment industry, lots of people are getting attracted towards it from different fields of professions. Similarly, some of the Pakistani newscasters have moved toward entertainment industry in order to gain name and fame. We have 8 names of Pakistani newscasters who are now belong to entertainment industry of Pakistan. The names of newscasters are as follows:
- Saba Faisal
In 1990’s, Saba Faisal started her career as a newscaster on PTV news and then she started acting in PTV’s dramas as she has impressed audiences immensely through her great acting skills. Now her name is added in the list of talented artists of Pakistan drama industry who has spread their talent on the screens. ‘Baarh’ and ‘Din Dhallay’ were her famous dramas of PTV which earned her the audiences’ appreciation. She has remained a noticeable part of famous dramas of private channels such as ‘Tum Jo Milay’ (Hum TV), ‘Sirf Aik Baar’ (TV One), ‘Aross Paross’ (ARY Digital), ‘Teri Ik Nazar’ (Geo TV), ‘Aasman Chhoonay Do’ (Geo TV) and many more.
- Owais Afridi
Owais Afridi has worked as newscaster at PTV news in the times of 1990s who debuted with PTV’s relaunched Tijarti Khabrein. He also worked in PTV’s Anmol which was aired in 1998. After a successful period of his career, he quit news anchoring and started modeling for commercials ads. Recently he appeared in ‘Geo Is Back’ commercials.
- Adnan Jaffar
Adnan Jaffar was also related to the field of news anchoring as he worked as news anchor in the leading news channel Dawn News in the year 2007-08. After leaving news anchoring, Adnan started to work on small screen as he has seen on stage plays as well. People will be able to see this handsome hunk in a lead role of his upcoming Pakistani movie “Jalaibee”.
- Tariq Aziz
Who does not know Tariq Aziz? He is known as the first famous newscaster of PTV news who has attracted every viewer through his excellent delivery of news and his great voice quality. Tariq Aziz who earned much fame from her quiz show “Neelam Ghar” has also appeared in many dramas of PTV with all the well-known actors of Pakistan including Mohammad Ali, Waheed Murad, Qavi Khan and many more.
- Rizwan Wasti
Rizwan Wasti started his career in late 60′s as an English newscaster on PTV and after 10 years of his success in his field. He moved towards acting in the early 70s and proved his acting talent in drama serial “Baharein Phir Bhi Aayengi” and “Shanee” on PTV as he remained a regular face of television till his death.
- Sana Bucha
Sana Bucha is known as the famous anchor of Geo TV who also attracted towards entertainment industry and started to work in a number of commercials after leaving Geo TV. She is all set to make her debut in upcoming Pakistani movie Yalghaar with Shaan and Adnan Siddiqui.
- Hira Pervez
Hira Pervez is not all about anchoring as she has stepped into a field of modeling as well as she is also offering for acting after doing news casting at different news channels. Hira is emerging as rising star of entertainment industry very rapidly.
- Naveen jan
Naveen Jan has also joined the race of entertainment industry as she is doing modeling these days after leaving news anchoring at the most leading news channel ARY news.
