Journalists injured during the clashIslamabad: Islamabad sits-ins of both political parties Pakistan Tehreek-e- Insaf and Pakistan Awami Tehreek are converting into very typical situation day by day as recently 28 Pakistani Journalists got injured during clashes between Punjab police and activists of two political parties. Despite injured protestors of both parties, cameramen, journalist and media workers were also became victim of this clash on 31st August.

According to the details, cameramen of several channels such as Samma TV cameramen Ajab Khan, Awais Qazi, and Atif Yousuf, Waqt TV cameramen Imran Iqbal and Mohammad Zahid, Dunya TV cameraman Asif Abdullah, ARY News cameramen Iqbal Zaib and Kashif Abbasi, DawnNews cameramen Naushad Abbasi, Yasir Malik, Imran Chaudhry, Mansoor Ahmed, Amir Alam, Express News cameramen Majid Shah, Usman Afzal, Rana Tariq, Aaj TV cameraman Ghulam Ali were attacked by the police during the clash.

Similarly reporters of different channels named as Dunya TV reporters Asad Ayub, Adnan, Dawn News reporter Samar Abbas, Ashfaq Hussain Aaj TV reporter Haroon Khursheed and other media persons such as Khuram Fayaz, Waqt TV DSNG operator and driver Jameel Kiyani and Essa Naqvi, Dunya TV DSNG Engineer Anjum Fatemi are also included in the list of 28 injured media persons.

In this regard, Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) and more journalist organizations from all over the Pakistan have demanded quick action against the police.
